Justice Minister discusses cooperation with UNDP

Minister of Justice Badr al-Aridha discussed Monday with UNDP's expert cooperation aspects and coordination mechanism of the project of improving capabilities of Judiciary Authority's cadre and procedural steps to implement Woman's National Plan for Security and Peace in accordance with SC's Resolution 1325.

Al-Aredha confirmed that the ministry is working on improving the administrative and institutional domains to promote the role of judiciary in Yemen, pointing out that the ministry adopted in its 2023 plan implementation of capacity building and skills of members of the local authority and administrative staff.

For her part, the UNDP's expert provided detailed explanation on the nature of the duties she is entrusted with, including coordination with concerned bodies to implement the Woman's National Plan for Security and Peace.

She confirmed significance of partnership and coordination with governmental bodies to provide needed support and help the war-affected people, especially women and girls.
