The Presidency of the Parliament along with the heads of parliamentary blocs, held a meeting Saturday, chaired by the Speaker Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the general situation and the current priorities in the country.
The meeting, conducted via video conferencing, reviewed the events on the national scene, the current priorities, the general direction of the Council's work plan for the upcoming period, and discussed the procedures for launching the work of parliamentary committees for field visits.
The meeting also addressed a number of issues related to the general situation in the country, including the economic, humanitarian, and service challenges faced by the Yemeni people.
It emphasized the importance of resuming Council sessions to fulfill its legislative and oversight duties under the current circumstances and to ensure that state institutions perform their assigned tasks while unifying their efforts.
A series of necessary decisions were made regarding the Council's work and the activities of the committees.
