His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, has directed the government and Ministry of Oil and Minerals to work on securing the oil strategic reserves to ensure stable supplies in domestic market, help managing emergency crises.
HE gave his instruction during a session he held today, Thursday, here in the temporary capital Aden with Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik and Minister of Oil and Minerals Sa'eed Ashamasi.
The discussions focused on the Oil Ministry's plans and efforts to develop the mechanisms of oil derivatives distribution and action-plans to respond to the changes of international oil prices.
The Prime Minister reported to the President about the government's efforts to manage economic hardships and improve living conditions.
The Minster of Oil and Minerals outlined the Ministry's vision about increasing the capacity of oil production and developing investment environment to help improving oil and minerals sector contribution to the gross domestic production and the government's developmental interventions in different fields.
