Chargé d'affaires of Yemen's Embassy in Sofia Ahmad Shammar discussed Wednesday with Director of Middle East and North Africa Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Evan Burdanov latest developments in Yemen and repercussions of failing efforts of extending the humanitarian Truce.
Shammar pointed out to importance of a firm international position towards Houthi militia to stop its blackmail and threats of bumping the situation, bloodshed, complicating the humanitarian crisis and stop its threat to the safety of the international maritime navigation.
For his part, the Bulgarian official expressed appreciation of his country's government to the positive and responsible role of the government in its support to extend the humanitarian truce, confirming support of his country to Yemen and its unity, security and stability.
He also expressed full support of Bulgaria to UN efforts to realize the truce and its condemnation to any escalation threatening UN efforts for realizing peace.
