The Presidential Leadership Council held an expanded meeting today, Thursday, chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, with the attendance of its members Sultan al-Aradah, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Faraj al-Bahsani, and via video call Tareq Saleh and Othman Majli, while Aidaroos al-Zubaidi was absent with an excuse.
The meeting included Prime Minister Salem bin Braik and the governors of the government-held governorates.
The meeting intended to discuss the developments of national situations, the requirements for enhancing coordination among the components of the executive authority in light of current challenges, and the need to effectively respond to national and regional changes.
The discussions covered the economic situations, basic services, the endorsed plans to administer the sovereign and local resources in accordance with the law in order to ensure improving the efficiency of revenues collecting and spending, improving basic services and establish stable environment for the government and the Central Bank to operate properly and deliver on the state obligations.
The PLC also discussed the ongoing efforts to establish security and stability, fight terrorism and control smuggling of weapons and drugs, clamp down the terrorist cells which collaborate with the Iranian regime backed terrorist Houthi militias.
The PLC restated that it is keen to offer all forms of support to help releasing the humanitarian relief staffs and all detainees in the prisons of the Houthi militias.
The PLC has confirmed the State's commitment to defend the fellow citizens in the Houthi terrorist militias-controlled regions, protect their livelihoods sources and ease their humanitarian suffering as this is a constitutional obligation and moral duty in the program of the PLC and the government.
