Minister of Sports seeks Saudi help to repair May 22 Stadium

The Minister of Youths and Sports Nayef al-Bakri highlighted the need for repairing the Stadium of May 22 in the (Sportive City) in the District of Sheikh Othman in the temporary capital Aden.

Al-Bakri sought for Saudi assistance during his conversations today, Thursday, with the Director of the Office of the Saudi Program for Development and Construction Yemen (SPDCY) Eng. Ahmed al-Madkhali.

The two sides underscored the importance of enlisting the project for repairing May 22 Stadium within the SPDCY's plan of next year 2026.

The stadium suffered great deal of damages during the aggressive war waged by the Houthi terrorist militias on Aden.

The Minister al-Bakri greatly valued the generous and continuous support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Yemeni people in different fields.

He also highly appreciated the SPDCY's projects and support for youth and sports sectors.
