AL SG calls for releasing the Emirati ship hijacked by Houthi militias

Arab League Secretary General (AL SG) Ahmed Abu al-GHait called for releasing the Emirati Ship "Rawabi) which has been hijacked by Iran-allied Houthi militiamen.
In a press release Abu-al-Ghait condemned Houthi militias' action, describing it as a maritime piracy and serious escalation as it constitutes a flagrant violation of the free navigation principle under the International Law and Seas Law which will have negative impacts upon the countries' interests, threatening international trade movement in this crucial region of the world.
" Houthi behavior and the militia's involvement in marine piracy actions demonstrate dangerous criminal tendency must be firmly deterred to maintain free navigation in this vitally important shipping line and to protect peoples' lives and properties" said Abu al-Ghait.
