Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik praised the pioneering role of the Gulf Cooperation Council in supporting Yemen and its people, its keenness to adhere to the local and international references for a political solution, and the aspirations of the GCC states to urgently support the government’s efforts to achieve economic stability and improve basic services.
During his meeting today with the GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, the Prime Minister noted the strong support for Yemen, its security and stability contained in the final statement of the 42nd summit of the GCC leaders as an extension of the firm stances rejecting the Houthi coup and Iranian interference, and based on the close brotherly relations and shared destiny fact. He pointed out that the support to the Yemeni government after the Houthi coup is one of the most important pillars upon which restoring stability and peace in Yemen is based.
The premier touched on the latest developments on the national arena in the political, military, security, economic and service aspects, the challenges facing the government and plans to deal with them, and the role reliant on the brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in supporting the government's efforts.
