Mokha-SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Tareq Saleh witnessed on Wednesday the unveiling of a newly established Yemeni naval formation assigned to operate across the Red Sea sector stretching from the Bab al-Mandab Strait to Zuqar Island, as Yemenis commemorate the 36th anniversary of the Republic of Yemen on May 22.
During the event, Tareq Saleh delivered congratulations from His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with fellow council members, to the naval forces on the occasion of the national celebration. He expressed pride in the role and sacrifices of the country’s naval personnel in preserving national security and maintaining stability.
The ceremony featured a symbolic maritime display in which naval units operating a variety of modern vessels demonstrated their operational preparedness, combat readiness, and elevated morale in carrying out missions to secure Yemen’s territorial waters and support efforts aimed at safeguarding international shipping routes in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
