Marib Explores Expanded Humanitarian Partnership with Turkish Aid Agency

Interventions, projects of UNICEF and Kuwaiti Relief Agency in Marib discussed

Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabu Miftah discussed Monday with Officer of Child Protection of UNICEF cooperation and coordination with the organization in implementing humanitarian interventions and projects in field of water and education in the province.

The meeting reviewed the most important projects implemented by the organization in Marib, including provision of water services to 23 displaced people camps, building bathrooms in a number of schools and installing tents as classrooms in a number of camps, as well as providing protection programs and other humanitarian services.

Miftah praised efforts of the organization, especially in field of education and water, confirming readiness of the local authority to provide all facilitations needed to implement its projects and programs.

For her part, the UN official praised partnership and coordination with the local authority of Marib and concerned executive offices helping the organization implement its projects and interventions in the province, showing sympathy for children over violations and shortage of basic services.

Miftah also discussed with the head of Kuwaiti Relief Agency Jamal al-Nouri projects and programs of the agency provided to the displaced people.

For his part, al-Nouri made it clear that his visit to the province aimed at inspecting humanitarian conditions at displacement camps in Marib and evaluating the agency's projects there.
