Leadership Council Avows To Take All Measures To Prevent Violations of Yemeni sovereignty

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Minister of Oil and Minerals Abdulsalam Ba-Abood met Sunday here with the French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Jean-Marie SAFA.

They conferred over the importance of reinvigorating the cooperation and partnership in oil and gas sector.

Ba-Abood highlighted the economic challenges facing the Yemeni government presently, underscoring the need for the international community's support for the government's efforts aiming to manage the economic hardships.

The Minister made it clear that the government has to improve the economic stability by increasing revenues from oil and gas sectors.

The French Ambassador hailed the formation of the Yemeni government, affirming his country's support for this government to help it doing its job successfully.

Mr. SAFA stated that his government will keep on coordinating with the government's authorities in charge, namely Minister of Oil to activate the partnership and coordination between the two sides.
