ADEN-SABA
Yemen’s Information Minister condemned on Wednesday Al-Qaeda’s bombing of a healthcare center, 11 days after executing a dentist in Al-Sowmaah district of the central province of Beidha.
Muammar al-Eryani told Saba that “by lacing the healthcare center with bombs and detonating it, Al-Qaeda terrorist organization copied the modus operandi of the Iran-backed Houthi militia.” He said this is “what the Houthi miltia does with public and private buildings especially the houses of oppositionist government officials, politicians and tribal chieftains.” Al-
Qaeda’s blowing up of the center “drives home the point that Houthis and Al-Qaeda are two faces of the same coin,” he said. “They differ in ideologies, but they are united in the modus operandi and in the nature of the goal they pursue: a Wilayat system and a Caliphate system.”
Both Al-Qaeda and Houthis have territories, shared borders and what the government says military “cooperation and coordination” amongst them in Beidha.
