The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Al-Iryani holds Houthi militia accountable for prisoners safety

Minister of Information Muammer al-Iryani calls for implementing prisoner exchange agreement between the government and Houthi militia as soon as possible amid the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).
In a press statement he reiterated that the government is ready to put the Sweden Agreement about prisoners into its effects immediately to save the lives of the Yemenis considering the health and humanitarian situations the country has been experiencing.
The Minister stated that Houthi militia is fully responsible for the safety of everybody held in its detention centers and jails in light of the spread of coronavirus in Sana'a and other militia-held regions.
Al-Iryani called on the Chief of the United Nations and his special envoy to Yemen to press for putting the prisoner exchange agreement into its effects immediately.
