The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Taiz: 9351 dengue fever cases including 10 deaths this year

The Director General of the Health Ministry Office in Taiz said on Wednesday there have been 9351 dengue fever cases including 10 deaths in the central Yemeni city since the beginning of 2019.
Speaking in a meeting between the Deputy Governor Taiz, health officials and chiefs of hospitals in the city, Abduraheem al-Samiee said the cases occurred due to the "seasonal spike" of the disease. He said that an anti-mosquito spray campaign has, however, lately slowed the pace of infections by 50%.
The meeting demanded the government to quickly provide the local public hospitals with budgets and medical equipment and the city's healthcare employees withy salaries.
