The speaker of the Yemeni parliament Sultan Al-Barakani participated today in the coordination meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Group held on the sidelines of the 141st session of the general assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Belgrade.

The meeting discussed the results of the meetings of the IPU executive committee, and coordination with the continental groups on some of the issues set to be discussed in the current session of the IPU.

Al-Barakani expressed his thanks to the parliamentarians and their countries for supporting Yemen, affirming the commitment to resume the assembly of the Yemeni parliament to exercise its legislative and supervisory functions and to contribute to the success of peace efforts in Yemen.
