The Director of Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen Sebastien Trives currently visiting Marib discussed with the province's deputy governor Abdullah al-Bakeri the development of a coordination mechanism between Marib's local authority and the UN organizations for an effectiveness humanitarian intervention and for meeting the needs of the IDPs in the province.
The deputy governor discussed with the OCHA director and accompany representatives of the World Food Organization, the Office of the United Nations Resident Representative in Yemen and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) arrangements to open an OCHA branch office in the province to organize the arrival of humanitarian aid to provinces neighboring to Marib.
