President al-Alimi Reviews Circumstances of Aden Shooting Incident, Directs Completion of Investigations

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a telephone call Friday with Minister of State, the Governor of Aden, Abdulrahman Sheikh during which he was briefed on preliminary information regarding the shooting incident that occurred near the governor’s residence, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries.

Deputy Prime Minister Dr Salim Al-Khanbashi chaired a high profile meeting Monday in the interim capital Aden included Minister of Electricity Eng. Mohammed al-Anani, Governor of Aden Ahmed Salim Rab'ea, Deputy Minister of Interior Maj. General Ali Nasser Lakhsha', General Direcotor of Electricity Corporation Eng. Abdulqader Ahmed and Director of Yemeni Oil Company Entissar al-Arashah Under-Secretary of Local Banking Operations Department in the Central Bank of Yemeni (CBY) Hussein Addahmashi.

The session devoted to explore possible solutions to the problems facing the Electricity Corporation.

Al-Khanbashi ordered the Ministry of Finance to cut the portion of the Electricity Corporation from the financial resources allocated to the government-held governorates and deposit the funds in the joint bank account in the CBY.
