[30/12/2018 01:31]
ADEN-SABA
The member of the government delegation in Sweden's Consultations Askar Zuail has said Houthi claims of withdrawing their militia from Hodeida Port represent negative beginning towards practical implementation of peace consultations in Sewden.

In a statement to Saba on Sunday, Zuail confirmed that this step reduces peace chances and unearths Houthi militia's will of failing the UN-sponsored agreement.

"Houthis announcement on redeployment in Hodeida Port and handing it over to elements loyal to them with the attendance of the Head of UN Deployment Committee General Partick Commaert is rejected and unacceptable matter and is considered blatant breach to Stockholm agreement and the matter requires complete clarification from the UN envoy on this irresponsible measures," said Zuail.

He confirmed government's rejection of this move, saying Stockholm agreement on Hodeida and its port was clear and frank that the government's bodies are entrusted with receiving the management of the ports and their security in accordance to the Yemeni low.

He pointed out that the government is waiting for UN envoy's response and the response of the sponsoring committee under the General Patrick Cammaert towards such claims contradicting what has been approved in Stockholm agreement.

The government will inform the UN Secretary General and the Five Permanent Members in the Security Council its rejection of this move for contradicting Sweden's agreement, said Zuail.
