An official source in the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) welcomed the package of practical economic, financial and administrative decisions and measures taken by the Council of Ministers in its meeting today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital, Aden, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani, describing them as a step forward on the path of comprehensive reforms aimed at improving living conditions, enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, consolidating the principles of transparency and governance, and building an economic and administrative model capable of satisfying the aspirations of the people.

Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee (SRC)—Abdulraqeeb Fatah chaired a preliminary meeting Monday in Aden devoted to discuss relief and humanitarian situation and to activate role of World Food Program (WFP) in the provinces of Taiz, Al-Baidha and Hoeidah.

The meeting included governors of Hodeida Al-Hassan Taher, Taiz Ameen Muhmood and Al-Baidha Nasser Aswadi, Representative of WFP Mohammed Ali and his deputy Dr Jamal Al-Majali. Minister of Social Affairs and Labor , Deputy Chairwoman of (SRC) Dr Ebtihaj Al-Kamal was also in attendance.

The meeting called on the International community to further support relief and humanitarian actions and to sustain the government's efforts aiming to carry out projects that can create job opportunities and improve the human situation in Yemen.

The Representative of the WFP affirmed the continuation of coordination with the (SRC) about the projects and program which the WFP has been carrying out in Yemen. He stated the WFP is ready to activate relief action in all provinces.
