YWEF Documents 4,651 Houthi Violations Against Mosques and Religious Minorities
The Yemeni Women Empowerment Foundation (YWEF) has documented 4,651 crimes and violations committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia against mosques, religious figures and minorities across 14 provinces between January 2014 and August 21, 2026.

Yemen's religious scholars and preachers gathered in Marib

Yemen's clergies and preachers held a congregation on Thursday in the city of Marib. The gathering organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Guidance in cooperation with the Association of Yemen Clergies.

The Function which themed" Together for Supporting Legitimacy" intended to demonstrate Yemen's religious scholars and preachers support for the legal leadership and government.

The participants in the congregation have plainly voiced their full support for the legitimate leadership and government, calling Yemeni people to align themselves with the legal government, national military and local resistance against Iran-backed Houthi militia.

The religious scholars and preachers strongly rejected all forms of militia creation and action. They have warned of the lethal consequences of establishing any militia, armed groups or entities.
