RIYADH-SABA
Minister of Information Muamar al-Iryani condemned the call of the so-called minister of youth at Hothi-Saleh's alliance Hassan Zaid to close schools at Houthi held-areas and sending students and teachers to warfronts.
"These statements confirm the continuation of Houthi coupists in recruiting children and using them in military operations against Yemenis, ignoring their lives and future and neglecting all international laws and customs, which ban exploiting children in political clashes," said al-Iryani.
While the government calls on the international community to exert pressure on Houthi militias to send back recruited children to their schools, abandon bombs and guns and to carry pens and notebooks, suddenly a Houthi leader made his call for recruiting them to hinder education and send children for fighting Yemeni people for serving Iranian agenda,, said al-Iryani.
He labeled Zaid's statements as indication of rebel's carelessness of education and lives of children and suffering of their families.
" At the time Houthi leadership send their sons for studying abroad or appoint them in the most important civil service jobs in Sana'a and other cities, they push sons of Yemeni people to be killed in warfronts," said Minister al –Iryani.
He called upon the United Nations and international organizations for serious intervention and put pressure on Houthi rebels to ensure protection of children and avoid dragging them into clashes, and distancing education away of political clashes.
