Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Obeid bi-Daghr sent a cable of congratulations today to His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his promotion to a crown prince and deputy prime minister of Saudi Arabia. Prince Mohammed Salman will be retaining the defense portfolio in his new post.
Yemen's premier conveyed his best wishes of success for the new crown prince in serving his religion and country especially in raising the kingdom's status higher under the wise leadership of the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The premier said: "Selecting Your Highness as a crown prince in this sensitive circumstance of the Middle East and Arabian Gulf region signals the trust in your powers and prowess in assuming responsibilities to be a support to King Salman in pursuing the successful career of development and renaissance in the kingdom."
The premier thanked the kingdom for taking honorable and courageous stances to the side of Yemen in countering the most threatening agenda to the present and future of the Islamic and Arab nation.
He reiterated wishes of success for the crown prince and further development of the distinguished relations between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
