YR 56 billion made available as army salaries, Cabinet source says

As much as YR 65 billion has been transferred by the Central Bank of Yemen to the bank account of the Defense Ministry as salaries for the armed forces, a Cabinet source said.

The amount covers January and February's overdue salaries, the source told Saba news agency. The government is working hard fulfill its national obligation despite the difficulty and scarcity of resources. "Recently all the overdue salaries to the month of May have been paid off to civil servants in the government-controlled areas and to some civil servants in the areas controlled by the Houthis and Saleh."

The source called for the international community to press the coup forces into transferring state revenues into the CBY, Aden, so that the government preforms its legal and moral duties in all provinces without exception.
