Amb. al-Sunaini Praises Japan's Support for Yemen

The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Japan Adel al-Sunaini highly praised Japan's supportive stances in support of Yemen's unity, stability, and territorial integrity.

He voiced gratitude to the Japanese government for its constant support for the Yemeni government and people during his talks today, Thursday, with the Assistant of Japan Foreign Minister and Director of the Middle East and Africa Department at the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Keiichi Iwamoto.

The talks covered Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias' threats to international navigation, trade flows, and supply and energy chains in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Bab el-Mandeb.

The two sides stressing the importance of boosting international coordination to ensure freedom and safety of navigation and protect the global economy.

The Japanese official reaffirmed Tokyo's support for Yemen's unity, security, stability and territorial integrity, as well as the Yemeni government and people.

He also highlighted the importance of maritime security and shipping routes.
Japan will continue to support peace efforts and cooperation to help achieve security and stability in Yemen and the region, he remarked.
