Yemen participated in the 2026 Global Peace Summit organized by Global Peace Chain at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The delegation, led by Yemen's Ambassador to France, Dr. Riyadh Yassin, emphasized humanitarian diplomacy as key to rebuilding trust.
In his speech, Ambassador Yassin stressed that trust cannot be given to terrorist groups using violence to control people, citing Houthi militia violations in Yemen. He highlighted the role of human-centered diplomacy in rebuilding trust between conflict-affected societies and the international community.
