The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has stated that the inspection of any vessel by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism in Yemen (UNVIM) does not mean that it is safe from U.S. sanctions, especially those ships, entities and individuals providing material support to the Houthis.

Maj. General al-Zubaidi urges improving legal departments' performance to establish rule of law

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of developing the performance of the Legal Affairs Departments at the government's institutions and authorities to enable them doing their tasks of establishing the rule of law and enforcing its verdicts.

He voiced his remark during his meeting today, Saturday, with the Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights Dr. Ahmed Arman.

Arman briefed al-Zubaidi on the Ministry's plans and efforts to develop the executive plans and programs so that it can be capable to deliver on its obligations in boosting the enforcement of the law at the State's institutions, protecting the human rights and achieving the social justice.

The conversations also touched on the Ministry's role in documenting the gross crimes and violations the Houthi militias against the armless fellow citizens the militias-controlled regions and the Ministry's coordination with the international organizations which are interested in defending human rights
