President al-Alimi: Strengthening Palestinian position starts with a united Arab stance including deterring terrorist militias

His Excellency President Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) reiterated Yemen's iron-clad support to the Palestinian people, its legitimate resistance against the Israeli occupation and its struggle for establishing its independence statehood.

At the meantime, His Excellency emphasized that strengthening the Palestinian national position and boosting the chances of the two-states solution starts by strengthening the Arab position, cementing its internal coherence and eliminating the armed militias in the region.

Speaking at the Follow-Up Arab- Islamic Summit held today, Monday, in Riyadh, the President reiterated Yemen's condemnation of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, affirming its full support for the Lebanese government's efforts to reach permanent cease-fire, bolster its national institutions and enabling it to exercise its sovereignty over all Lebanese territories, in accordance with the International Security Council's resolutions.

President al-Alimi said that the Israeli hostile behavior can't be deterred by proxy war, but it can be through resolving conflicts and internal disputes and supporting the Arab national state, its identity and social peace against the armed militias.

In this context, the President reiterated the Republic of Yemen's stance against the terrorist Houthi militias' practices that have further worsen the economic hardships and the peoples' living conditions in the region, led to militarizing the seas and regional waters to serve the hostile expansion interests in the region.
