The Council of Ministers reviews executive measures to stabilize exchange rate

The Council of Minister devoted its session today, Thursday, in the temporary capital of Aden, presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak to explore practical measures to achieve the necessary balance of the national currency exchange, stop the unjustified deterioration of its value and deter the speculation currency operations, which are considered a form of the ongoing economic war.

The Cabinet ordered the concerned ministries and authorities to carry out the banking policies of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY), deterring the speculators who engaged in currencies speculation and to strictly monitoring over the prices of the basic commodity.

The Prime Minister briefed the Cabinet on the ongoing contacts with the countries and the donor international organizations which are the partners of Yemen to mobilize the needed support for the government's reforms and to sustain its efforts to manage the economic challenges that have been exacerbated by the terrorist attacks by the Houthis militias on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.

The Minister of Defense reported about the military situations amid the continuing mobilizing by the terrorist Houthi militias in several fronts, coinciding with the militias' escalation against the commercial ships.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates provided a report about the political developments and the outcomes of the meetings he held with the diplomatic missions in Aden.

The Council of Ministers agreed on the agreement of the World Trade Organization about easing the trade.

The Cabinet reiterated its condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces' violations and crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese people. It also denounced the Israeli parliament for enacting law banning the UNRAW's activities, which is set to seriously exacerbate the Palestinian people's suffering.
