The Executive Director General of the General Corporation for Telecommunications (GCT) in the temporary capital of Aden, Eng. Wael Tarmoom announced today, Sunday, that the GCT officially launched the pilot phase of the Starlink service (satellite Internet) in the government-held governorates.
The pilot phase aimed to evaluate the service by a joint technical team from the GCT and Starlink to ensure the quality of high-speed satellite internet service.
Eng. Tarmoom noted that our country will become in the orbit of the official coverage of the satellite Internet service, starting next October.
He affirmed that various services will be provided through the GCT's approved points of sale, which are ready to work in most of the government-held governorates and sales of devices will be launched with the latest specifications and reasonable prices for all.
Tarmoom indicated that there will be four packages with different main speeds that allow the user to choose what is appropriate for him at reasonable prices.
