President al-Alimi laids down foundation stones of several Saudi funded projects in Taiz

His Excellency President Dr. Rashd al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) along with the Members of the PLC Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujalli put down today, Tuesday, the foundation stones of a number of developmental and basic services projects funded by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction in Yemen (SPDRY).

The Director of the Office of the SPDRY Ahmed Madkhali and some local authority senior officials detailed the President and PLC's members about the new projects and the ones in progress.
The projects include Specialist Tumors Center, establishing Ausaifira Electricity Station with 30MGW, the Rural Hospital in al-Mawasit District and the project for repair the Technological Industrial Institute in Taiz.

President al-Alimi and the PLC's members inaugurated al-Wahda Typical School in the District of Jabal Habashi and inspected the work on progress in the project of the Medicine City at Taiz University, which include medicines, nursing and pharmacy colleges, the University Hospital and the administrative buildings. As many as 280 students are expected to benefit from this significant project.

The Chairman of the PLC and its members expressed their own and on behalf of the Yemeni government and people deep gratitude to the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman the Prime Minister and the SPDRY for their generous and continuous support to the Yemeni people.

President al-Alimi praised the significant humanitarian and development interventions by the Saudi brothers in different fields and Yemeni governorates, in addition to their financial and oil donations that have proved very helpful to the Yemeni people at this difficult stage.
