Minister of Transport Dr. Abdel Salam Humayd asserted that the Yemeni government is eagerly seeking to establish a strategic Yemeni-Chinese cooperation and partnership in the transport businesses.
"We're keenly looking forward to further develop cooperation and build an active partnership with the People's Republic of China in the businesses of transport", he said.
He made his comments during his talks today, Wednesday, in Aden with the Charged' Affairs of the embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Yemen Shao Zheng.
Humayed greatly celebrated the opening of the Chinese Consulate in the temporary Aden, describing the move as very important to ease the peoples' businesses, more important is to encourage other foreign embassies to open their headquarters in Aden.
The Minister called on the Chinese government to establish strategic collaboration and partnership with the Yemeni government through substantial investments in transport sectors such as projects in the seaports and maritime transport, establishing investment entireties on the Yemeni coastline that stretches throughout more than 2500 km and encouraging opening shipping lines between the Chinese and Yemeni seaports.
The Chinese diplomat confirmed that Yemen is a key partner for the People's Republic of China in several fields, underscoring the importance of doubling down the efforts to further promote the cooperation and friendship relations between the two countries.
