The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep regret for the failure of the United Nations Security Council to adopt the Arab Draft rResolution presented by Algeria.
The draft resolution called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
It considers this failure a new setback to the implementation of the Council's responsibilities related to achieving security and stability.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), it emphasized Yemen's rejection of double standards and remaining silent in the face of daily massacres and bloody violations against the Palestinian people, which have resulted in tens of thousands of killing and injuries, mostly women and children.
The ministry called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and full implementation of international resolutions and laws that guarantee the protection of the Palestinian people and ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with its capital in East Quds.
