President al-Alimi receives Egyptian Ambassador for Yemen

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received Tuesday Ambassador of Egypt to Yemen Ahmad Farouq, discussing with him mutual relations between the two countries and latest national and regional developments.

The meeting discussed situations in Yemen and UN efforts to release an inclusive political settlement on the bases of the results of efforts of brothers in Saudi Arabia and the nationally, regionally and internationally agreed upon references.

President al-Alimi confirmed interaction of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government with all initiatives, which will work on achieving just and inclusive peace, regaining state institutions and improving living conditions of Yemeni citizens, including handing over salaries of public employees in areas under Houthi militia's control.

President al-Alimi confirmed the Egyptian active role towards the Palestinian people and means of avoiding expansion of repercussions of the Israeli destructive war, as well as not enabling the terrorist militias and organizations to invest the Palestinian issue to harm interests of the region and international economy.

He confirmed position of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government supporting rights of the Palestinian people in establishing their independence state with full sovereignty, necessity of imminent ceasefire and holding the Israeli occupation accountable over its major violations to the international humanitarian law.

He also welcomed what has been included in the Egyptian- Chinese release regarding latest developments in the Red Sea. The release stressed significance of relaxation of tension in the region and the priority of securing international navigation.

In this regard, President al-Alimi confirmed priority of supporting the government of Yemen to regain state institutions and enhancing its capabilities to impose security and stability across Yemeni soil as the ideal way to secure regional waters and international navigations lines.

He praised the role of Egypt towards Yemeni people and their republican regime in different conditions and stages, reaching to the role of Egypt within the Saudi-led coalition and efforts of regaining state institutions, peace, stability and development in Yemen.
