Yemen's Prime Minister, Salem Saleh bin Braik, met with the US Chargé d'Affaires to Yemen Jonathan Beauchampto discuss recent developments on the national, regional, and international fronts.
They discussed the government's priorities in addressing economic and service challenges, as well as the required international support to bolster the government's efforts.
They also touched on the political and military situation, particularly the threat posed by the Houthi militia, and the need for international support to secure shipping lanes.
The Prime Minister emphasized the strong bilateral relations with the US and the importance of continued US support, particularly in the areas of economic development and security.
The Acting Ambassador reaffirmed the US commitment to supporting the Yemeni government and to working together to address the challenges facing the country.
