Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Brigadier General Tariq Saleh highly praised France's supportive stances in support of the PLC and the internationally recognized Yemeni government, deeply appreciated Paris' repeated rejection of the Houthi militias' terrorist attacks on the Yemeni people's economic interests and oil facilities.
He made his comments during his meeting today, Monday, with the French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Katherine Corm Kammoun.
Brig. Tariq's conversations with Kammoun covered topical issues including Yemen-French bilateral relations, latest developments at the national and regional arenas.
Brig. Tariq reiterated the PLC's support for the regional and international efforts aiming to achieve the fair, comprehensive and sustainable peace in Yemen.
The Member of the PLC touched upon the ongoing Israeli occupation forces' aggression on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip. He underscored the increasingly growing anger of Arab and Muslim peoples due to the Israeli crimes and genocides against the civilians.
The French Ambassador confirmed Paris' steady support for the Yemeni people and government as well as the efforts of the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General in order to establish peace in Yemen.
