Buhaibeh discusses with WHO's Representative improving health sector

Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Sunday with the Representative of the World Health Organization to Yemen Arturo Pesigan enhancing partnership between the ministry and the organization and ideal ways for improving them.

Minister Buhaibeh made the UN official in the picture of the current pandemic situation in the country, including raising cases of severe watery diarrhea among Ethiopian migrants in Shabwah and Aden and measures taken by the ministry towards this pandemic.

The meeting touched upon possibility of enhancing partnership in preparing different strategies for a number of sectors, including emergency, nursing and child health, as well as focusing on the quality and efficiency of these strategies to improve quality of health sector.

For his part, the UN official showed readiness of the organization for working with the ministry and partners of health sector and providing necessary support to it.
