The Council of Ministers reviewed in its session today, Thursday, co-chaired by President Ali al-Alimi and Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik the actions done and measures it has taken to carry out the urgently action plans to handle the problems in electricity sector, improve the revenues, control corruption and accelerate the urgently needed economic, financial and services reforms.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of implementing the stated conditions in the agreement of the financial grant provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the state's general budget.
The Minister of Public Health and Population provided a report about eh health and humanitarian situation in the governorate of Socotra, al-Mahra and Hadramout which hit by the tropical cyclone" Tej" and the underway efforts to cope with the damages it caused.
The Cabinet directed the concerned Ministries to prepare detailed reports about the damages in the properties, infrastructures and the needed interventions to deal with that.
The Cabinet ratified the agreement of the Holy Mecca for the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation about collaboration to enforce the corruption controlling laws.
The Council of Ministers has approved the General Framework of the First National Report about the 2023 Sustainable Developments Goals and it ordered creating High Supervisory Committee chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation.
The Ministers of Water, Finance, Social Affairs, Industry, Health and Population, Education, Higher Education and Technical Education, Interior, Electricity and Secretary General of the Council of Ministers should be members of the committee .
The Cabinet reiterated its condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces' aggression, massacres and atrocities against the Palestinian people in Gaza, calling on the international community take decisive action to stop the Israeli occupiers' annihilation war and attacks on the civilians.
