Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdullah al-Alimi discussed Wednesday with US Ambassador to Yemen Stephen Fagen latest national, political, economic and humanitarian developments in Yemen under Houthi militia's stubbornness regarding peace and targeting economic establishments.
Al-Alimi renewed keenness and concern of the Presidential Leadership Council on realizing just and inclusive peace on the bases of the basic references recognized internationally, confirming that the council provided many concessions for ending the war, realizing peace and ending suffering of Yemeni people over Houthi militia triggered war.
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council reviewed recent Houthi militia's military escalation and repeated attacks on positions of the national army and military mobilization, confirming necessity of exerting pressure by international community on Houthi terrorist militia and forcing it to resort to peace.
Al-Alimi praised US efforts supporting Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy and support to Yemen's unity, security and stability.
He also praised US humanitarian and developmental efforts to Yemen in different stages, especially recent US efforts of emptying Safir Oil Tanker to help Yemen avoid environmental disaster could be resulted of oil leak from the deteriorated tanker, which carries on board one million barrel of crude oil.
For his part, the US diplomat renewed US positions supporting Yemen, its unity, security and stability and realizing peace Yemeni people are in need.
He praised positive positions of the Presidential Leadership Council for ending the war and realizing peace.
