Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheeb, participated in the panel discussion held as part of the launch event of assessing the impact of the conflict in Yemen and the paths to recovery.

In the roundtable discussion held in the Saudi capital today, the Minister stressed the importance of identifying the multiple root causes that led to the conflict in general..

He pointed out that the cause of the conflict that began in 2014 was the ominous Houthi coup against the government and state, stressing that a comprehensive and sustainable peaceful solution is the only way out of the current situation in Yemen.

The Minister of Planning said, "It is time to start and prepare general plans for reconstruction and economic recovery, and to identify priorities and development needs, and this is what the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation is currently doing in cooperation with partners, including the Saudi Program, the Islamic Bank and the World Bank."
