Yemen' Information Minister said Iran's appreciation of its mercenaries in the region as observed during the inauguration of the Persian state's new president signals Tehran's coming approach.

Muammar al-Eryani said, "Iran's appreciation – during the inauguration of Ebrahim Raisi – of its mercenaries in the region, armed militias and terrorist putschist movements, while they escalate terrorist attacks on international shipping lanes, signals Iran's coming approach."

In the ceremony attended by representatives of Iran's terrorist proxies including the Yemeni Houthi militia, Raisi signaled that Iran seeks to expand its power in the region through these mercenary militias mentioning Yemen and other countries.

"Instead of sending positive messages … and signals that the Iranian policies will change toward the crises of the region, Tehran officially announced its continuity to sponsor the terrorist militias and its responsibility for the raging crises and wars and terrorism that now threatens the entire world's interests," said Eryani.

"In return, those sectarian militias, at the forefront of which is the terrorist Houthi militia, don’t hesitate to declare their absolute affiliation to the Mullah regime of Tehran. They even take pride in it," he said.

Eryani appealed to the international community to realize that the Houthi militia is one of the most dangerous arms that Iran uses to destabilize the security of the region and threaten the international interests with no attention to the price that Yemeni people pay as a result of this conduct."
