The Permanent Mission of Yemen to the Arab League organized a training course Sunday for staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Arab League.

The course aims to equip 49 participants from the ministry, missions and offices with information and knowledge about protocol and etiquette.

The Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, Ambassador Mohammed al-Ajiri praised the cooperation with the Permanent Mission of Yemen to the Arab League, emphasizing continued support for the mission in various fields.

The Acting Permanent Representative of Yemen to the Arab League, Ambassador Dr. Ali Mousa discussed the importance of the course and the need for diplomats to possess a set of essential skills that integrate to enable them to carry out their tasks effectively through effective communication skills, negotiation, crisis management, political analysis of events, and forecasting outcomes.

He noted that protocol and etiquette for diplomats are not merely formal procedures, but rather a global language that organizes relations and ensures respect for sovereignty and national symbols.
Understanding different cultures and the ability to engage with the diverse backgrounds of countries and peoples is essential for diplomats.
