Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Tariq Saleh discussed today, Thursday, with the American Special Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking the developments in Yemen and the region and to common visions to counter the Houthis' terrorism.

Saleh explained the vision of the PLC about the solution to the Yemeni conflict, citing the humanitarian and economic challenges Yemen has been facing, underscoring the importance of the international support for the government at this stage in all levels.

He stressed that the PLC, the government, executive and judiciary authorities all are united together seeking to restore their own state that can serve its all people and work with the international community to preserve security, stability and respect the rule of law.

The Member of the PLC has made it clear that looking for peace with the terrorist Houthi militias through negotiations is squandering time, noting that confronting the militias with force is the key for peace.

He stated that it is high time for the international community to realize the existential threat the Iranian presence in Yemen poses to the Yemenis' interests and the world as well.

The American envoy confirmed the US administration commitment to counter the terrorism and to support the PLC.
Lenderking noted that Washington is a fully aware that the Houthis are the main obstacle to peace .
