Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin Mubarak praised the strong fraternal relations between Yemen and Egypt, which are embodied in solid cooperation and a shared destiny, emphasizing the commitment to developing and enhancing these relations in various fields.

This came during a meeting Tuesday with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Ahmed Farouk to bid farewell on the occasion of the end of his term.

The Prime Minister noted the efforts made by the ambassador in strengthening the ties between the two brotherly countries and continuing to enhance the prospects for strategic partnership that achieve common goals and interests, expressing his wishes for the ambassador's success in his future endeavors.

During the meeting, the latest developments at the national, regional, and international levels were reviewed, along with the positions of the two countries regarding issues of mutual interest, including the terrorist escalation by the Houthi militia in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the continued targeting of commercial vessels and international navigation.

The importance of organizing the meeting of the Yemeni-Egyptian High Committee and activating its work to strengthen the bonds of partnership and cooperation in various aspects was also discussed.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt reiterated his country's support for the security and stability of Yemen and the efforts of the Yemeni government to address the existing challenges.

He pointed out to the mutual commitment to enhancing bilateral relations between Egypt and Yemen in a way that serves the mutual interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
