Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights Ahmed Arman restated that the Yemeni government is very interested in enforcing the rule of Law, bolstering democracy and protecting human rights. "

The government is keenly working on establishing partnership in power and wealth, achieving equal citizenship", he said.

He made his statement while he was speaking today, Monday, at the 57th Session of the Human Rights Council, in Geneva.

The Minister blamed the terrorist Houthi militias' coup for disrupting the government's plans and efforts to go on the political and democratic reforms that would have further improved human rights.

The Minister stated that the Yemeni government pays much attention to the issue of human rights, citing the practical measures it has taken to improve human rights, including the national strategy for human rights, strategy for fighting human trafficking and establishing the National Observatory for monitoring violations of child rights.
