Yemen, Egypt discuss law, human rights cooperation

Cairo, (Saba) - Minister of Human Rights Mohammad Askar discussed Sunday with the Head of Egyptian Supreme Human Rights Center Mohammad Fayeq law, and consultative cooperation between Yemen and the center.

The meeting dealt with protecting and enhancing human rights in Yemen and making use of the center in this field.
Askar reviewed miserable conditions in Yemen over Houthi-Saleh's practices, which violate human rights.

He talked about his ministry's efforts for defending human rights and freedoms under these conditions. He stressed on coordination and cooperation, as well as making use of the center's expertise on regional and international levels.

For his part, Fayeq confirmed his center's care of law and humanitarian issues in Yemen and readiness on cooperation with Yemen's ministry of human rights in promoting activities of human rights in the country.

On the other hand, Minister of Human Rights Mohammad Askar discussed with the Secretary General of Arab Human Rights Organization Ala' Shalabi participation of the organization in activating the ministry's efforts for protecting

kidnapped people in detentions of Houthi-Saleh's militias and stopping comic prosecutions against journalists and activists.
Shalabi confirmed readiness to exert efforts for protecting human rights in Yemen, expanding activities of counting violations and documenting them. He also confirmed assistance on the file of kidnapped and detainees.
