Riyadh (Saba)- President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Tuesday received here the US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew H. Tueller, discussing prospects of cooperation between Yemen and the United states at various levels.
They also touched on issues of common interest, reiterating that peace should be achieved on basis of the GCC-brokered Initiative and its implementation mechanism, outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN resolutions, particularly the Resolution 2216.
President Hadi praised the special relations between Yemen and the United States under the new US Administration and addressing challenges and risks which threaten international navigation.
They further dealt with the US support to Yemen's legitimate government in confronting challenges, global peace and efforts of fighting terrorism which have achieved fruitful results so far.
President Hadi also lauded efforts exerted by the legitimate government in the areas of relief, reconstruction, reconstruction and payment of public servants' salaries.
For his part, Tueller emphasized that the US will go on supporting Yemen and its legitimate leadership to realize aspirations of the Yemeni people, exalting Yemen's position which expressed support to the US strikes on the sites of the Syrian regime after it used chemical weapons against innocent Syrians.
