Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi met today, Wednesday, with Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Yemen Ahmed Farouq.
The session aimed to discuss political and economic situations in our country and regional and international efforts to end the war and establish peace through an inclusive political process includes all the parties to the conflict to ensure fair and sustainable solution to all issues in the country.
The conversations touched upon the recent measures taken by the Egyptian authorities about the regulation of the procedures relating to the travel to the Egyptian territories.
Al-Zubaid highly praised the supportive stances of the Arab Republic of Egypt in support of the Yemeni peoples throughout long history.
He stated that Egypt has always been the main travel destination for the Yemenis, particularly as it is the sisterly country which opened its gates for millions of the Yemeni peoples who fled Yemen to Egypt due to the war or for medication or study.
The Egyptian Ambassador reiterated his country's support for Yemen and the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and Government to lead the country toward peace and stability. He renewed Egypt's support for the ongoing efforts to end the war, establish peace through a comprehensive political process engages all parties.
The Egyptian Ambassador also confirmed the Egyptian Government's keenness to offer all possible facilitations for the Yemenis who travel to Egypt for residence or medical treatment or study.
