Precautionary immunization campaign against Polio starts in government-held governorates

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Bahebeh launched today, Sunday, in temporary capital Aden the first phase of the Precautionary Vaccination Campaign against Polio.
The 3- day immunization operation is carried out by the Ministry of Public Health, funded by the World Health Organization and the UNICEF.
The first phase of the campaign is targeting one million and 290 thousand of children under-five year old in the temporary capital Aden and government-held governorates.
The vaccination campaign is carried out from house to house in 120 districts by 10 thousand and 569 health workers distributed to 5 thousand and 707 fixed and moveable teams monitored by 1370 supervisors.
