Today, the Republic of Yemen and the People's Republic of China signed a memorandum of understanding for a project of mutual translation of classical literary works between the two countries, which is the first of its kind in the field of translation in the Republic of Yemen and one of the largest Chinese translation projects with an Arab country.
The agreement was signed through the exchange of notes format.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the two sides will, during the project’s time period of five years, translate at least 20 titles and may reach 100, of the most important literary and classic works in the two countries in the fields of literature, history, tourism, arts and sociology, and the titles will be distributed equally between the two countries.
