MASAM demines 1833 Houthi-laid landmines in a week

KSrelief Center's Demining Project in Yemen (MASAM) managed to pull out 1833 landmines and unexploded ordnances (UXO) in the fourth week of April 2022.
This amount of landmines were planted by Iran-allied Houthi militias in different Yemeni regions.
MASAM reported that its deminers extracted 1195 anti-tanks landmines and 683 UXO. This brings total number of landmines removed in April up to 6,356.
Sine it has started its demining mission MASAM removed 335 thousand and 893 all laid-down randomly by Houthi militias' miltants.
A human rights report issued last month revealed that landmines planted by the Houthi militias have killed 2,818 civilians and injured 3,655 others during the period from April 2014 to March 2022 in 17 governorates.
